Last Week of the 2022-23 NBA Regular Season

As we enter the last week of the 2022-23 NBA regular season, the playoff race is still up in the air. In Western Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans are the potential teams to end up in any of eight different slots. The Clippers, Warriors, and Timberwolves are also close behind with seven possibilities each. It's a similar situation in the Eastern Conference, with no team having secured a specific seed.

This means that this week of games is crucial for teams trying to secure a playoff spot or improve their seed. So, on which games you are crossing your fingers? Here are the top 10 NBA games which you can watch on NBA sreams, that will decide the final standings.

Lakers Vs. Clippers on April 5

On Wednesday, The Lakers and Clippers will face off in a crucial game. The winning team will take the control of their playoff standing for the No. 5 seed. If on Tuesday game the Lakers win against the Utah Jazz, they'll be tied at 41-38. The loser risks dropping into the play-in round. This matchup is arguably the most important game the Lakers and Clippers have ever played against each other.

Clippers Vs. Suns on April 9

Phoenix can rest players in their last game against the Clippers to control their playoff bracket against LA teams. By allowing the Clippers to win, Phoenix could face them in the first round. Moreover, the game would be the 12th meeting between Durant and Westbrook. The Suns prefer to play the Clippers in the first round due to Paul George's injury.

Suns Vs. Lakers on April 7

LeBron James and Kevin Durant haven't played against each other since Durant joined the Brooklyn Nets. Their last game together was in 2018 when Durant was with the Golden State Warriors and James with the Los Angeles Lakers. The upcoming April 7th game could be a chance for them to face off again. This game is highly anticipated, and if James and Durant face off, it will add more excitement to the game.

Warriors Vs. Kings on April 7

This game holds importance for Sacramento Kings as they may want to choose their playoff opponent by manipulating their seed. The No. 6 seed is desirable due to the Kings' inexperience and weak defense. Sacramento can send a message to teams seeking to avoid them by performing well in this game. The possible return of Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green's preference to face the Kings add to the game's significance.

Thunder Vs. Warriors on April 4

The Thunder need to win their last three games or at least two to secure a spot in the play-in. They have favourable matchups against the Jazz and Grizzlies. But Thunder's inconsistency is a major concern as seen in their recent losses to the Pacers and Hornets. Beating the Warriors would not only secure their top-10 spot but also show their competitiveness in the play-in round.

Pelicans Vs. Timberwolves on April 9

Minnesota is behind New Orleans by two losses, making it unlikely for them to move above the No. 9 seed. However, they have winnable games against the Nets and Spurs before facing the Pelicans in their last game. Winning that game could be crucial as it also secures the head-to-head tiebreaker. New Orleans has a tough schedule ahead, making it likely they will lose a game or two before facing Minnesota. The winner of this game could secure the No. 7 or No. 8 seed, while the loser will have to win two play-in games to reach the playoffs.

Nuggets Vs. Suns on April 6

Two favorites in the Western Conference, Denver, and Phoenix, will face each other in a game that holds significance for both teams. Although Nikola Jokic's availability is uncertain, Denver is poised to secure the No. 1 seed while Phoenix will likely take the No. 4 seed. Phoenix has only faced sub-.500 teams except for a win over Denver's B-team and will benefit from this matchup as it provides an opportunity to hone their skills against tougher competition. This game is crucial in terms of preparation for the playoffs.

Kings Vs. Mavericks on April 5

Although Dallas is favored to win this game against Sacramento due to home arena advantage. But they have been losing games that they were expected to win. There are even rumors circulating about shutting down Doncic and Irving for the last three games, highlighting the Mavericks' desperation for a victory. To secure a spot in the play-in round, they must win this game.

Blazers Vs. Grizzlies on April 4

Portland's victory over Minnesota on Sunday was impressive. Fans are expecting that Blazer's upcoming game against Memphis will be one-sided. If the Grizzlies win, they'll secure at least the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, with Sacramento locked in at No. 3. This has significant consequences for the teams below them in the bracket. Both Memphis and Sacramento have games against lower-ranked teams and could rest players to influence the playoff field. A Memphis victory on Tuesday would increase the likelihood of this happening.

Celtics Vs. 76ers on April 4

This game is not going to make a big difference in the Eastern Conference standings as there is a significant gap between the top eight teams. But this game is still important for two reasons. Firstly, it is Joel Embiid's last opportunity to prove his worth as an MVP candidate. He missed the last game against Nikola Jokic, the other leading contender for the award. Secondly, the Boston Celtics have had the upper hand against the Philadelphia 76ers in their past meetings. Also, Embiid has struggled against them in the playoffs too. Since the two teams are likely to meet again in the second round, Philadelphia wants to send a message by winning this game.
